Leaving for Minatitlan

Haircut-Love that Smile
Adolfo and Jordan
Hola mi familia,
hoy tenemos un hora y media por la computadora. Esta es mi último día aquí en Lerdo. Mañana voy a Minatitlán. Estoy triste porque yo no quiero salir, la gente aquí es buena gente. Pero yo sabe que Dios quiere yo en otros pueblos ayudar otros personas.
(We now have an hour and half by the computer. This is my last day in Lerdo. Tomorrow I will Minatitlan. I am sad because I do not want to leave, the people here are good people. But I know God wants me to help other peoples in other people.)
I am leaving for Minatitlan tomorrow. I am really sad because I don’t want to leave Lerdo. But I know this is what the Lord wants of me and I am willing to accept the new assignment, even though its hard.
Adolfo hasn’t been baptized yet but elder Gil is going to do his best with his new companion to get him in the water this week.
Yesterday I got to say goodbye to the branch and it was hard, I started crying and I was surprised because a some of the people are just as sad to see me go and they are surprised because I am being changed and not my comp. because he has five cambios here and I only have two.
We have a gringo neighbor named Jack he is a really cool guy. He downloaded some church hymns for us onto CDs, and gave us an old CD player. I gave him a restoration pamphlet in English and he would like a Book of Mormon but in English. I am leaving tomorrow so I don’t know if he will get it.
I got a call last night from the offices and they said that my package had arrived but because there was no name on it they opened it and saw all of the stuff and started eating some of it when they found the card and found out that the package was mine. They will open it if it doesn’t have a name on it. I should get it next week for the conference so no worries.
Have you guys had family home evening with the missionaries again yet and is Alex interested in the church, Jace hurry up and baptize your future wife would ya-Ha ha!
The first photo is of me and Adolfo. The second is of me today with my new haircut. The third is of Keyla. (I posted her below, with her letter)
We are finding people who need the message that we share and we are taken care of both by the people here and by Our Father in Heaven.
I am still learning Spanish and the customs here, and its a lot of fun.
I hope you all know that i love you and that i have you in my prayers. if you have some questions let me know because it makes it easier for me to wright things to you.
Amor y Paz, Dios te bendigas.
SU mayor hijo, y hermano

Buenos Tardes, familia!

Hola mi familia,
¿Cómo esta? Estoy bien. Estoy animado por Jace, y Justin porque ellos vamos a la trek mañana. Estoy frustrado porque esta computa dadora no quiere ayudar con mis photos, esta significa no photos esta semana. Perdón pero la computa dadora es tanto.
(I am excited for Jace and Justin because they are going to the trek tomorrow. I am frustrated because this computer does not want to help with my photos, this means no photos this week. Sorry but ....)
That’s it for Spanish in this letter. Today was a lot of fun because this morning we went to the Hill Cumorah, it’s not a hill it’s a medium sized mountain. It was a lot of fun hiking up it, and then seeing nothing because of the clouds but I liked it because the clouds cooled us off a lot. And no, we did not find the other plates that Moroni hid there. :)
This is just going to be a really long letter because this stupid computer doesn’t like the cable, so there will be no photos this week, I am sorry.
I sent Landon a letter about three weeks ago hopefully he will get it before he goes to the MTC, if not I am sure Randy will send it to him. Church was good yesterday, and we don’t see President, or Sister Hansen that much but I am sure the package will get here without a problem.
Last week I got a letter from the Hines family, I am excited for their daughter to be leaving soon.
Jace and Justin, be sure to enjoy the trek okay, right about it in your journals and have fun, don’t do anything stupid or outrageous because this is a spiritual experience.
Jax you know that I love you and that the other two love you also, we would never leave you alone with mom and dad unless we knew you were ready to take care of them… :) l.o.l.
We have one baptism for this week, and we are really hoping he makes it, because he has problems with alcohol, can you please keep him in your prayers, his name is Adolfo. He wants to quit and we have given him a lot of blessings but it's still difficult for him and for us to see him suffer.
Mom I love you and thank you for all the things you have taught me in life. Like how to cook and properly clean things, also teaching me patience with others, without patience I could not stand to be here. Love ya mom and want you to not worry about me I am fine and always will be because the Lord is with me.
Love ya
Dad I want you to know that you have been a great father and a great friend, you have taught me that’s its important to work hard and to give my best in any circumstance, you have also taught me how to adapt to situations. Love you and know that God still has a plan for you and mom to serve a mission someday.
Love ya
We changed house on Wednesday and now we live in a bigger and better house, I really like it because there is more room for me and my companion. And I sleep like a log at night. It's great.
Sorry that there aren't any photos as I explained above, but know that I love you all and have you in my prayers.
Your oldest son and older brother,
Elder Jordan Ross Weaver
"I stand all amazed"...
you are an amazing missionary Jordan!
We are so very proud of you, love Mom and Dad

Our baptism this week...

The sister's name is Imelda, she is a good lady. She has a problem with her hip and can't bend backwards so we had her sit on a primary kids chair in the water and dunked her that way. My companion had to hold her knees because they would come out of the water. We dunked her four times.
I have the record for the most dunks in my branch:)

I am doing well and I feel really good,

Hi my family,
I am doing well and I feel really good, we are moving to a new house on Wednesday and the person who is our neighbor is a gringo and his Spanish is worst then mine and he has lived here more then me.
We have three people to be baptized this week , and they are really excited. The alcoholic we found is still having trouble so we moved his date to next week, and we give him a blessing almost every time we go to visit him.
I don’t eat the soup that often just twice every two weeks, we have cows milk for the cereal and I have bought bread for sandwiches too, we eat a lot of fruit and drink a lot so no worries okay, I am being careful and its cool on how so many things from scouts or just watching your little brothers prepares you for the real world.
This time goes by so quickly, and yet it feels likes it’s been a year since I have seen you guys,
the little kids here love it when I make faces at them and try talking to them in my Spanish they get the biggest kick out of it.
Our bathroom is in the house and we have a working toilet. My new tie is from another Elder with whom I traded ties with, the ties here in Mexico are really ugly, for Christmas can you send me like five ties, really cool ones, and ones that will help people recognize me as a missionary of the Lord.
Jace and Justin, I am really excited for you two, be sure to write about your experiences and your feelings in a journal so that you can remember the easily. Jax have fun being the only kid at home because it may be your only chance.
I have an ensign and read from that so it’s all good in my reading materials, the book by President Hinkley you sent me, I am not doing to read until I have a year in my mission.
Mom and Dad I am really excited for you two about the r moon ride on Antelope Island, don’t scare any buffalo okay. Dad I know that you will do fine in the LOTOJA, and mom and little boys I am sorry that the Tour to France is back on, you probably spend a lot of time outside when dads watching it huh?
I am teaching some of the youth in the branch on how to pray in English and they love it, they help me with Spanish and I help them with English, it works. I am not going to lie I missed being able to light fireworks but, I am having a lot of fun.
Sometimes we get a rainstorm and the thunder sounds like a giant tree exploding over your head, it wakes us up and keeps us awake until it passes but the lightning strikes are really cool.
I wrote Austin a letter and will be sending it through the pouch service to see if that’s faster.
I had five photos for you guys then it closed me out because the session ended, for not using it, I write on Microsoft because it takes awhile for the website to transfer photos
The first photo is of the baptism we had this week. The sister’s name is Imelda, and she is a good lady. She has a problem with her hip and can’t bend backwards so we had her sit on a primary kids chair in the water and dunked her that way, my companion had to hold her knees because they would come out of the water. We dunked her four times. I have a record for the most dunks in my branch:)
Love you all and have you in my prayers,
Your oldest son, and older brother,
Elder Jordan Ross Weaver

Don't know what happened to the other pictures unless they didn't send when his time was up-maybe next week. Sure miss him a lot right now, maybe it's the 4th of July and being shy one boy-that Jordan boy:)
